An innovative company at the forefront of education and their success comes from a strong drive and conviction that math education can and should be made more engaging, equitable, and accessible for all students.RoleAs a backend developer you will work with the backend and DevOps team currently consisting of four developers. You will be using NodeJS, NoSQL databases, Docker etc to help develop new functionality and increase stability and performance.The product currently includes a teacher web version, a student web version and student apps for iOS and Android. To support this there are several databases in MongoDB and 30+ microservices helping the frontend platforms to run and calculating statistics. You will be with the current microservices and creating new ones to support the need of new functionality built. If you are interested there will be opportunities to develop within DevOps as well. You will have to collaborate with the whole product team including Product Managers, Designers, Frontend developers and your Backend team.Our client are a user obsessed company with a wide range of users from older teachers to kids that barely started school. Building a product for these users often comes down to a lot of compromising between building the functionality needed while keeping the complexity low and the product intuitive. And with that a lot of discussion between all parties involved to find an optimal solution.
