Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with a strong record of business analytics and data warehousing to design, develop and maintain Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Machine Learning solutions across all industry sectors for Oracle SaaS applications. The successful candidate must have a good understanding of the value of data and analytics, as well as proven experience building analytics implementations.
The Cloud Engineer must have a solid understanding of reporting and analytics and the value they bring to the business.
We are looking for team members who can work hands on with Oracle Cloud products, develop custom demonstrations, lead proof of concepts and be able to leverage the Oracle Analytics and Cloud capabilities to address our customer’s business requirements.
Experience in Analytics/BI tools is required along with passion, curiosity, technical depth, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
-Primary focus on Oracle's analytics offerings: Analytics Cloud, Data Visualization, Machine Learning and other related areas.
-Working with Customers, Sales Consultants and Applications Developers to understand the business requirements and conceptualize, build, test and deploy technical architectures and product solutions for specified needs.
-Hands on Analytics and Data Warehousing Development.
-Assist in the creation of PoCs tailored to customers' needs and proof points.
-Proactively support the Sales team in positioning Oracle Analytics ecosystem as a key differentiator.
-Showcasing Oracle’s solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ideal candidate should have :
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
-Experience in visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using Oracle Analytics Cloud or other 3rd party analytics tool.
-Comfortable with basic data modeling (joins, schemas, relationships) and data mashups (blending data across sources).
-Comfortable with querying large complex data sets stored in relational databases (Oracle Database, SQL Server, DB2).
-Exposure to applied Machine Learning algorithms and models and coding knowledge with one of domain specific languages (e.g. Python, R, Scala, Java).
-Exposure to a packaged application solution from a reporting perspective.
- Prior experience (or willing to learn) with one or more of the following technologies/platforms is an advantage: Oracle Fusion SaaS, Oracle Data Cloud solutions, Oracle Integration Cloud.
-Basic knowledge about distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark etc.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
