Responsibilities
& Competencies
Create/delete user accounts, resolution of user access issues
Ensure daily routine system health check, alarm supervision– alarm correlation rules, system logs, application performance surveillance, system preventive maintenance
Set up, configure& troubleshoot client application
Run System Acceptance tests, in coordination with vendors, respecting project milestones
Solve application/platform incidents and problems
On-call duty based on responsibility matrix, guiding remotely Field service/HW Support for onsite intervention Application software release upgrades and patching
Keep consistency in process descriptions and system documentation
Application configuration changes
Servers/OS patching
Custom/on-demands script implementation
KPI implementation based on requests
Implementation of changes (+assistance to other teams where OSS/Appsadministration access is required)
Backups of platforms / applications
Investigation related to connectivity problems to Network Elements. Possible further steps coordinated with IP Team and/or relevant technical teams
Qualifications
- University degree in Telecommunication, Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 3 years system operation and/or administration experience of IT or Telco multi-user systems running under Unix (Linux, Solaris, Windows)
- Proven experience with architecture, design, testing, change implementation of high availability/clustered OSS/NMS systems
- Know-how of the NMS/Tools is a plus in systems such as: Netact, NSP (5620 SAM), NPM, Netcool, BMC Remedy, ARC
- Experience with designing backup/restore procedures/scripts/tools including market available technologies
- Know-how of database administration and maintenance (Oracle, Sybase)
- Know-how of platform administration (Virtual environments – VMware, Openstack)
- Knowledge of the most common network protocols
- Understanding of GSM/UMTS/LTE principles is appreciated
- Task automation and scripting technique is appreciated
- Practical knowledge of scripting (e.g.: shell, Perl, Python) is a plus
- Customer focus in a multicultural environment, team-oriented
- Availability to work on-call shifts based on the rotation system in place
