Running initiatives and upcoming projects are thriving to further improve and boost our way of digitizing Schenker’s global digital document service management. Work in one of the most critical application service teams for Schenker IT Landscape and get to know Schenker various IT and business use cases with all the teams and its cross functional interfaces and help us to further scale up and grow with us together. The “Output Management Layout developer – Digital Document Services” will be part of the Output Management team (OM) supporting the developing of layouts as per request of our biggest transport management system customers e.g. for air & ocean business. Using the Open Text exstream development tools for maintaining the Output Management application LayoutsTaking care of technical analysis of change requests towards the Output Management applicationCreating & updating document layouts for prints & Invoices, freight documents and barcode labelsMaintaining the layout creation processes such as batch processing, reprint function & signature creationUpdating textual elements for ex- company footer values or translations from a translation table toolMaintaining the custom Java modulesMaintaining the TANGO TMS document signature related certificatesConducting the standard developer testing on a periodic basisAnalysing & troubleshooting of user reported issues in coordination with the application support teamCreating customized software packages for our core modulesActively participating in periodic Scrum ceremonies and working as per the agile guidelines & processes set in consensus with the teamSupporting and taking part time duties in Output Management related projects to support product improvements for our internal customersInstallation, configuration, customization and integration of third-party software Execution of developer and unit testingSupport in developing the architecture of a system and its interfaces Skills: At least 3-5 years of experience working as Software Engineer with programming experience of Java, python, LinuxMust have experience in lay outing and output creation products like Steramserve/Exstream with “nice to have” experience in technologies like Page out & StorytellerKnowledge of Stream serve script (Special for our DDS product line) or Java ScriptBasic knowledge about document formats like PDF, PCL and printing related topicsKnowledge & experience of Linux system usage and scripting in LinuxMust have strong capability of reading and working with Java programsBasic experience in programming databases - SQL (PostgreSQL Server, Oracle, etc.)Understanding of layouts for automated document creationWorking with versioning systems like Git, CASStrong knowledge base in Linux Shell & Scripting, Windows BatchBasic understanding of Apache Ant, Apache Maven, SoapUIUnderstanding about Java Messaging Queue, email messaging system like postfixDeep understanding of software development life cycleUniversity degree in natural sciences, computer science, business, or an equivalent educationFluency in written and spoken EnglishGlobal mindset, solution orientation, willingness to learn, good team player, and flexibilityKnowledge about agile software delivery methodologies is good to have.Experience of handling development tickets in JiraExperience of knowledge documentation and handover in Confluence Nice to have:Logistic business knowledgeInternational environment working experience.AGILE environment working experience
