The InPost Supply Chain domain team is rapidly growing and we’re looking for a hands-on Principal Software Engineer to be the technical lead, guiding the architecture and design decisions, and implementing best practices to ensure a successful transition to the cloud and the adoption of microservices architecture. InPost Logistics Solution (ILS) is an internally designed and developed logistics ecosystem for InPost. Consists of core web application, mobile courier application, mobile warehouse scanner, and logistic solutions ready to process millions of parcels daily. Qualifications: 15+ years of software engineering and product delivery experience, with strong background in algorithms and high-performance distributed systems,Expert in modern programming language such as Java,Experience in cloud infrastructure technologies and past experiences with cloud migration,Excellent (English) communication and analytical skills. Command of Polish is a nice-to-have asset. What will you be responsible for? Cloud Migration: Lead the cloud migration strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to define the roadmap, timelines, and dependencies.Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions, leveraging cloud-native services and technologies (e.g., GCP, Azure, AWS).Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and smooth transition of applications and services to the cloud.Optimize the performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness of cloud resources. Microservices Architecture: Drive the design and implementation of microservices architecture using Java.Define best practices, standards, and guidelines for microservices development, deployment, and monitoring.Collaborate with software development teams to design and build scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant microservices.Mentor and provide technical guidance to development teams in adopting microservices patterns and practices Technical Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert on cloud migration, microservices, and related technologies.Lead and participate in architectural reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions to ensure high-quality deliverables.Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to cloud computing, microservices, and DevOps.Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and infrastructure engineers. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including business units, product owners, and project managers, to align technical solutions with business requirements.Communicate complex technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.Work closely with global teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
