As the Product Owner of the Restricted Secure Environment (RS) Windows VDI, you will be working together with the team on new developments in the RS Windows VDI environment, along with the operational support of this key IT service.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the DevOps team, operational responsibility for the global RS Windows VDI environment

  • Help with reducing our technical debt and to keep operational issues to the minimum

  • Contribute to the vision and roadmap of the hardware design environment in collaboration with the Chief Product Owner, Product Manager and Solution Architect 

  • Create the product roadmap (Quarterly-plan) and features for team

  • Build, edit and manage the team backlog (epics, stories, defects) 

  • Review and prioritize the backlog as part of the prep work for Iteration (Sprint) Planning

  • Participate in Iteration (Sprint) Demos in collaboration with your team and impacted stakeholders

The RS VDI team manages hundreds of virtual machines and are preparing a global deployment. Automation is becoming a key aspect, and you will be working on enabling this, while maintaining the operational quality.

You will join the team at our Bucharest site. Our team works according the DevOps principles, it is required that you work on-site (though not necessarily 5 days a week). Typically working during office hours, but there is a possibility that in case of escalations we will need to work outside of the office hours. As the Product Owner for RS Windows VDI, you will report to the Product Owner of our VDI environments, who is based in Eindhoven.

Though you and your team are in Bucharest, you will have a global scope and focus. You will be working in a multi-cultural environment, where you also have the opportunity to work with engineers from all over the world.

Your profile

To be successful in this role you have:

  • University degree with IT orientation and 5+ years of system administration / experience with Citrix/VMware management in a global enterprise.

  • 3+ years of relevant IT experience in designing and deploying enterprise level IT infrastructure solutions within multinational organizations

  • Broad/generic knowledge and understanding in all components that exist around the Windows server environment.

  • 1+ years’ experience as Product Owner, preferably using the SAFE methodology

  • Experience in automation (proven experience in python/C++ is a pre)

Furthermore, you are:

  • able to support the team in identifying, analyzing and proposing solutions to various technical and business issues

  • a fast-paced, “self-starter” serving as a catalyst for change and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.

  • Able to understand / work with people from diverse cultures and have good English communication skills.

Contract: This is a fulltime position with a permanent contract
