Project Development Associate in Bucuresti

This text should be informative rather than selling. For our partner, a global leader in the renewable energy sector, we are looking for a motivated  Project Development Associate based in Bucharest. In this role , you will coordinate the promotion of future wind, solar, and BESS plants, under the company guidelines, to develop the portfolio of wind, solar, and BESS projects for the successful fulfillment of the business plan. You will autonomously manage the business from the identification of opportunities, contracting with the landowners, selection of subcontractors for the engineering activities, coordinating the permitting process with all the internal and external stakeholders, and delivering a ready-to-build project. Key responsibilities : Development of the business plan – Collaborate in identifying suitable geographical locations in which to construct new renewable projects to contribute to achieving the business plan objectives. Knowledge of the administrative expectations and processes to perform in opportunities selection. Explore new and relevant sites through targeted personal research or through results made available, with public and private stakeholders. Relations with the authorities  – Keep the progress on the projects under your control up to date, promote the exchange of information, and ensure that the objectives are met, to allow the progress of the running projects to be monitored. Establish a network of stakeholder contacts with frequent ground presence. Relations with landowners – Negotiate with the landowners the transfer of use of the affected ground for the project, power lines, and substations. Permitting Process – Represent the company with local public or private stakeholders, state services, and communities to make known and accepted projects and the company. Coordinate procedures to apply for necessary permits, coordinating the activities to set up all the docs in compliance with applicable law. Keep the progress on the projects according to the schedule of the permitting process, promote the exchange of information, and ensure that the objectives are met according to the schedule and budget. Coordination - Supervise and cooperate with the teams involved in each phase of the project (engineering, procurement, M&A, Energy assessment, environment, legal consultancy...), to ensure the complete coordination of all interventions. Coordinate all the designers and subcontractors involved in the permitting process to complete the permitting process within the allocated time and budget. Business plan and budget elaboration – Take part in the definition and updating of the business plan and budget elaboration about the project assigned; taking on the responsibility of fulfilling the delivery time and project costs in the assigned areas. Requirements: At least 3+ years experience in the development and permitting of projects ; Experience in the  construction and connection of renewables projects represents an advantage; Permitting procedure for approval of PUZ and obtaining building permits AutoCAD and MS Office package; Project Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar is considered a plus; Electricity Sector knowledge in renewable matters regulation is a highly valued plus; English - advanced level; Good negotiation skills; Written and verbal communication skills; Autonomy in decision-making and problem-solving; Driving license B category. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
