You will be working on an energy management system that our customers use every day to gain insight into the operation of their multi source power plants, solar, wind, hydrogen and batteries. You will be responsible for the end-to-end testing of the application and the quality of the software.A typical day will consist of working together with various business stakeholders, ranging from: product owners, power users, subject matter experts to understand business requirements and to evaluate the functionality of the application in meeting those requirements, with software developers in designing, implementing, and executing test cases and in troubleshooting and fixing software defects and data issues, with project manager to review sprint schedules and assist in product quality assessment. Samples of our digital software business can be found here: How You’ll Make an Impact Work with product owners and other business stakeholders Ensure that the application meets the highest quality standards Identify and resolve data quality and application setup issues Address gaps in implementation of various services across the entire toolchain that could result in poor end-user experience Work independently and with other team members to define the test strategy for new features and to implement them Write test cases and setup test data to effectively cover various test scenarios Work with developers and architects to identify and resolve software defects. Work with different software development teams to ensure the various services and tools together meet the end user expectations. Troubleshoot production issues and help in their swift resolution. Think outside the box and raise the bar What You Bring Master’s / bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar with a minimum 3 years of experience in the field of Software Quality Assurance and Testing. Ability to understand business objectives and translate them to application features, further break them down to test scenarios and test cases. Great attention to detail with exceptional ability to uncover issues Effective problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Good understanding of software architecture and modular frameworks Proficiency in testing microservices, web and mobile applications 2+ years of experience using testing tools like Postman Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to articulate complex topics Experience in Agile development Fluent English Skills Experience working in and with international teams and stakeholders with different cultures Technical Skills Ability to exhaustively explore various user flows and create test cases to address them Understand complex data models and prepare test data and application setup based on that. Sound knowledge of browser tools that help in web application debugging and troubleshooting Prior experience in web and mobile application security testing. Know the ins and outs of Postman automation testing Thorough understanding of various testing methodologies Understanding of web application frameworks like Angular, React etc. and mobile application frameworks like Cordova and Capacitor Ability to reduce efforts involved in regression testing by effectively utilizing automation Sound knowledge of mobile application design and development. Prior experience testing mobile applications on both iOS and Android. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform end-to-end analysis of user request, profiling, and instrumentation. Deep knowledge of unit testing frameworks and prior experience using them in a production application. Working experience with Jira and Confluence Use of a scripting language (Python, VBA, JavaScript etc.) preferred to prepare test data and to automate test case execution
