R&D IT – Storage and Backup Subject Matter Expert in Bucuresti

We are looking for a DevOps engineer with the following characteristics:Master or Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field; with 10+ years of professional experience in Systems Engineering or SMEUnderstanding of Storage & Backup IT architecture designGood understanding of networking and network security concepts.Demonstrated knowledge of EMC Networker, Cohesity, SnapVault, DataDomain and similar backup technologies, knowledge of storage solutions from Dell-EMC, NetApp, and similar technologiesDatacenter Hardware experienceNo issue to work outside business hours to support the platform for critical R&D Applications.Has the ability, curiosity, and desire to understand the broader technology ecosystem outside own area of expertise to understand the true impact of own proposals, decisions, and actions.Documentation generation: Requirements, design, interface specification, test specificationsEffective influencing and negotiation skills in an environmentProactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecksExcellent analytical, conceptual thinking, planning, and execution skillsYou have excellent English communication skills, both verbally as in writing.Experience with agile development methods, like Scrum, and are convinced of its power to deliver products with immense (business) value.What NXP has to offer:An energetic team, which is and wants to remain a front-runner in IT Virtualization initiatives.A team that is an ambassador for Scrum and DevOps way of working within the NXP SAFe organization.In consultation with the team, flexibility in working hours and location.Continuous development of yourself as an individual.
