How to contribute to our visionYou will manage a construction project engineering team within the Real Estate construction department of Siemens Gamesa- You will be responsible for supporting several major design and construction projects globally by providing expertise in the fields of expertise shown below.- You will manage a team of experts with the following expertise fields1.Design of factories and cost optimizationReviewing, challenging, optimizing requirement specifications from the business in order to optimize costs (CAPEX and OPEX)Ensure quality of specifications signed off by the business before start of designPropose optimized and innovative factory designs, including: modular, prefabricated, standardized, short lifetime, etc.Challenge and validate technical design from external architects and designersEnsure lessons learned and knowledge transfer cross-projectsEnsure consistency and quality of cost estimates provided to the business for early stage investigations. Ensure robust cost database is maintained.2.Contract and claim management support to the projects:During tender phase for contract draft and contract negotiationDuring project executionAt project final closingProject Management Office (PMO), operational excellencePromote a project execution excellence strategy, ensure its follow-up in the projectsControl the projects in terms of quality gates and milestones3.PMO support to the projectsYou will thereby contribute to facilitate project execution in accordance with timeline, costs, risks, safety and quality.You will interact with many internal stakeholders and several subcontractors for all projects: designer, project management company, general contractor or built-to-suit developer.You will frequently travel to the projects locations.What you need to make a differencePassion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…You have a master/diploma in construction engineering, civil engineering, MEP engineering, architecture or similar.You have at least 7 years of work experience in project management in the context of construction projects of industrial facilities.You have a strong understanding of the main CAPEX drivers in the design and construction of industrial facilitiesExperience in manufacturing or the wind turbine business is a plusYou have a strong experience in construction contract management, for example Fidic red and/or yellow book or equivalentYou are structured, target-driven, and work solution-oriented and problem-solving manner, in order to deliver projects on time, quality and budget.You are used to work in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project), ideally Autocad.You are very fluent (verbally and written) in English, e.g. able to negotiate and review contacts in English.
