Road Transport Fleet Supervisor in Ploieşti

Our integrated services include all aspects of logistics planning, control and execution.Your RoleKuehne + Nagel are seeking to appoint a Road Transport Fleet Supervisor to work within a dedicated team. The key responsibilities will be to ensure the transport department operates in a safe, compliant and efficient manner, which is fully compliant with all legislation. Tasking drivers and assets to meet delivery schedules and delivering a first class service to our customer within budget. The post will be responsible for the compliant movement of ADR products, and Non ADR goods. This role may require the successful applicant to be available on the phone when is necessary.Your ResponsibilitiesShall ensure that incoming commands will be handled correctlyResponsible for daily planning of all equipment (most efficient way)Responsible for daily planning of drivers (most efficient way and according to regulations)Dispatches all issues / problems that occur with drivers (reachable 24/7)Reporting and investigation accidents/incidents with the tight contracted timelinesInstructs the truck drivers newly employed by the company during their trips in order to get them familiar with the new routesResponsible for the evaluation of the trips and the drivers at the end of the shift according with company policiesActively involved in the hiring process of the driversResponsible for the drivers instructions before the starting of the trips such as addresses, coordinates, trip lists, loadings/unloading orders etc.Responsible with daily checks of the drivers’ activity and status on all the trucks including every Monday morning to report the truck indexChecks driven km and hours and proposes legal ways to reduce the dead timing and the optimization of the tripsProactive looking for business opportunities / creating line hauls and optimizing routesTakes over the activities of other colleagues in department in their absenceAssist the Transport Manager to meet the agreed Budget and KPI’s, actively seeking ways to improve efficiency, performance and reducing costs.Ensuring daily management information is compiled both for internal and external customer and that this information is submitted accurately and on a timely basisYour Skills and ExperiencesExperience in international transportation industry on a similar job of at least 3 years.Excellent working knowledge of Transport legislation (at least Law 561/2006).Proven record in Fleet Compliance in maintenance,Flexible leadership style with ability to motivate staff to achieve results.Competent Numerate with good attention to detail.Good communication and interpersonal skillsCompetent Microsoft Office user including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Proven people management skills and experienceProficiency in Romanian and English languages (reading, writing, speaking)Driving licenseAbout Kuehne+NagelWith over 79000 employees at some 1,300 locations in over 100 countries, the Kuehne+Nagel Group is one of the world’s leading logistics companies.As an employer, Kuehne+Nagel stands for equal opportunity and we are committed to diversity in our teams with regard to people with disabilities.
