PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES SAP Business Technology Platform Delivery@Scale Romania is a group that provides SAP consulting service to SAP customers. This group serves customers worldwide via tight cooperation with other local SAP consulting teams. This means worldwide delivery commitment in areas including SAP Business Applications (SAP ERP, SAP SCM, SAP CRM, SAP SRM and more than 24 Industry Solutions), Development and Technology Consulting Services. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS Analytics consultants work with project managers, businesses owners, analyst teams and clients, building ETL processes, data warehouses, database prototypes, reports and implement predictive algorithms to deliver the customer requirements. They also document code, provide progress reports, and perform code review and peer feedback. Analytics consultants job duties include: Developing reports, analytic applications, SQL databases and integrating various business applications. Perform the role of a Consultant on projects (SAP BW/BI/HANA Implementations/Upgrades, modelling) Follow Manager’s guidance and perform required actions in the areas of self-development and utilization Perform tasks as required by the Project Manager on the assigned projects Act as a trusted advisor/technical architect to the customer Deliver project trainings, conduct customer workshops and support presales / bid management Ready to travel for assignments within EMEA-DACH (short term and long term) (up to 50% of working time) EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Completed studies in one of the following disciplines: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology System, Computer applications Curriculum for SAP BW or SAP HANA consultants or equivalent Experience / Knowledge in software projects Knowledge of programming and/or database administration Operating systems and Network Administration is desirable Fits in at least one of the following profiles: Programming Programming languages: C++, C#, Java, other OOP languages Web programming: JSP, EJB, HTML/CSS, PHP, XML, ASP.NET SAP ABAP knowledge is considered a plus Database Familiar with one of the following SAP HANA, Oracle, Sybase, MS-SQL, DB2, MySQL Relational Databases knowledge Database normalization and troubleshooting WORK EXPERIENCE 3 years of experience as an Analytics Consultant Experience in Data warehouse (DW) solutions SAP BW or BI Platform/SAP Analytics Cloud relevant experience Experience in performing a role as an Analytics Consultant at least one end-to-end project (Upgrade, Implementation etc.,) Knowledge of data warehousing, tables, and structures (star schema, dimensions, master data) Ideally experienced in managing a team of DW consultants working in multiple geographic locations (off shore-onsite / Global Delivery model), planning /delegation of tasks Nice to have: SAP BW Process Chains, Performance, Tuning and development Experience in ABAP Development workbench, ABAP Query, Data Dictionary, Functional Enhancements (User-Exits).
