Job Description ROLE PURPOSE Strategic planning for 5-year crop strategies, and deliver brand plans and one year campaign providing direction to Supply, Technic and Sales departments. Product management for assigned crops with impactful product positioning based on deep market understanding and insights. Crop sales campaigns planning & execution to create brand awareness or build relevant image within target customers, ensure commercial efficiency and support business objectives delivery. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement by working across functions and in alignment with regional team, a 3/5-year crop marketing strategy and 12 month operational plan for assigned crops to deliver profitable portfolio growth Provide market and grower segmentation & competitive analysis from multiple sources of data; Propose Market Research for deeper market understanding. Prepare market & sales forecast for allocated crops Ensure Control of activities calendar setup and execution, leverage digitalization to drive data driven decision Actively manage product portfolio and lifecycle; Provide input into development of the regional crop plan Ensure effective positioning of products down to sub segments markets based on trials results; Influence and shape the opinions of all key external stakeholders Coordinates and follows-up with technical protocol definitions and propose specific trials and protocols to support products launch Provide product knowledge to sales with technical support and actively participate to seminars, events, field tours. Build relevant, compelling and engaging content for customers meetings based on target audience and crop strategy Leads proper planning & execution for successful NPI’s preparation: brand value messaging, value & transactional pricing, competitive and technical positioning; Design and implement ready –to- launch brand plans Follow up campaign development based on defined KPIs and DACI and recommend corrective actions and initiating of new ones Drives Value and transactional Pricing to ensure effective pricing strategies; Owns and leads price/ volume trade-off decisions Monitor in-season price movements and take the necessary measures (ISA), in conjunction with the sales team, to achieve the budget. Define A&P budget for corresponding crops Recommend budget proposals for assigned crops: volume, value pricing, optimized commercial policy for seeds business Support the marketing services/ sales/ technic departments to implement the campaign Qualifications Min 3 years of experience in marketing or sales in agro business Knowledge and min 2 years of experience in product management Experience in the application of crop agronomics and technologies and their contribution to the financial drivers of a grower’s business Degree in Agriculture is a plus Deep knowledge of brand management and marketing Budgeting, marketing planning and forecasting Technical products knowledge Understanding of agricultural market, grower needs and trends Understanding of key stages and principles of product life cycle Analytical and project management skills Proficiency in English
