Senior Buyer for Indirect Materials About the Role Location Romania Bucuresti Bucharest Organization EVP Global Functions Business Unit Strategic Procurement Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your DayAs Senior Buyer you will focus on the tactical implementation of the procurement strategies defined in Corporate Commodity Management and based on the commodity strategy. You make supplier selections based on the metrics available to you. You focus on internal customers and partners that cannot be successful without your contribution, timeliness and transparency. You work in a highly motivated team with a "doer" attitude where you help and support each other. You will solve short term/daily issues and create tremendous value for our factories and customers. In parallel, you will work with global commodity management teams as well as with our Business Optimization Process (BPO)-Partner to develop and implement long-term improvement and development projects. You will become an expert in tactical execution, acceleration and supply chain performance management.How You will Make an Impact You prepare and conduct RfX’s and tenders, as well as the offer analysis up to contract drafting and negotiation. You are responsible for the operational order processing via SAP as well as the order and Order tracking to prepare for renegotiations. You ensure ordering processes to stay compliant with internal and external requirements and compliance guidelines and take care for the continuous optimization of the processes. The setting of key performance indicators for the control, optimization and planning of the purchasing business as well as the local and cross-location optimization of our commodities are also part of your tasks. By regular participation in working groups as well as permanent communication with your cross-functional partners and internal customers, you ensure permanent exchange of information and early involvement. You represent the team to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding of progress. You will be the point of contact for all (indirect) procurement topics, and proactively ensure the teams information flow for Romania as well as for selected other countries. Make use and be part of an international and worldwide acting procurement network and contribute to local and global savings targets. What You Bring Successfully completed university degree in a commercial specialization or alternatively a successfully completed commercial apprenticeship in conjunction with relevant professional experience. Ideally, you have several years of relevant experience in procurement functions. You have profound specialist knowledge in the field of purchasing, ideally purchasing of indirect materials and services, including experience in the application of negotiation techniques. You can also demonstrate first experience in the field of project management as well as good knowledge in SAP and ideally good knowledge of e-procurement. Very good knowledge of contract- and ideally (international) employment law. Personally, you convince with excellent communication and relationship management skills. Proficiency language with excellent written and oral communication skills in English.Romanian and at least one of the following languages: Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Bulgarian, Serbian, Slovenian or Polish round off your profile. You are a team-player, and you also work independently. You are highly motivated to work in an international matrix organization and to collaborate cross-functional. Terms like empowerment and self-driven-agile teams are nothing new for you. You have advanced MS Office365 applications skills, experience in SAP would be a plus.
