Our client, a Doha based financial services group, is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect for an exciting new, strategic role designing and maintaining all of their cloud systems and services. The role offers a TAX-FREE salary plus generous benefits and relocation costs to Qatar. Due to the Qatari entry criteria, a university degree is a MANDATORY requirement. A financial services background is preferred, ideally with experience gained in an Asset Management or Investment Management environment. 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on hybrid solutionsProven proficiency in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform - ALL ARE ESSENTIALExpertise in cloud automation tools - Terraform, CloudFormationStrong background in Scripting and programming languages - Python, PowerShellExperience with containerization and orchestration tools - Docker, KubernetesKnowledge in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines - Jenkins, GitLabFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and practicesKnowledge of Cloud Chaos Engineering toolsUnderstanding of network architecture and security protocols in cloud environmentsExperience with cloud cost management and optimization strategiesStrong understanding of systems planning methodologies, security principles, and the implementation of software management best practices to ensure robust and secure IT environmentsStrong understanding of disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) strategies.
