The position is located in Bucharest and it provides great opportunity to leverage on your interpersonal and relationship management skills in a professional environment working with internal and external clients.As a Senior Credit Underwriter - Vice President, you will have full oversight of the end-to-end credit process: credit risk monitoring and management, credit package preparations, and credit proposal review/approval. In this client-facing role you will co-operate with other divisions of the Bank, especially with the Sales, Risk and Product teams.ResponsibilitiesPeriodical/initial credit risk reviews of existing, prospect individual clients or group of companies.Continuous assurance of health and appropriateness of the credit clients’ risk profile. Conducting Early Warning and Risk Management activities to take the right actions timely to ensure a healthy risk profile, including classification decisions and credit strategyFull responsibility and leadership of parties involved in the credit process, for timely completion of tasks related to the assigned portfolio/pipelineDecision making and credit file preparation including client risk ratings, management assessment, match of the credit product types, tenors and loan amounts to the purpose of the loan, collateral types and evaluations, special conditions, covenants, financial analysisPerform second approver/checker of Credit Applications when required according to the designated approval limitsPreparation of Greenlight Memorandums together with Sales Team and presenting the drafted credit proposals to required approvers at the Greenlight MeetingsResponsible for on time completion of annual reviews, quarterly credit reviews (when needed), any ad-hoc reviews of existing customers (timely maintenance of maturing credit lines)Follow the daily market updates and news, internal reports and relate them with assigned credit portfolio/pipeline for analysisResponsible for deciding on and monitoring the remedial strategy of each client classified for closer monitoringMaintains credit related data consistency by daily usage of reports and credit toolsLead ad-hoc analytical tasks (i.e. portfolio review purposes, stress tests) and participate inLead projects assigned by the CLM HeadParticipate in regional/global projects.RequirementsBachelor’s/University degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting or EconomicsExcellent written and spoken English and local language skillsMinimum 6 years of work experience in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration with Credit or financial statement analysisDemonstrated knowledge of accounting and its practical application in the credit underwriting processExperience in structuring bilateral credit agreements, knowledge on complex credit productsFormal credit training or knowledge of financial accounting standards (international and domestic)Strong understanding of the Commercial Banking Business and MarketIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft OfficeHighly effective negotiation, interpersonal and communication skillsBenefitsWe work hard to have a positive financial and social impact on the communities we serve.
