IT Delivery HUB is looking for a passionate Senior Database Administrator.
You will be a member of the IT Delivery department, where your skills and contributions to manage our SaaS solutions and supporting tools will be very visible. You will work with many technologies across all VISMA products together with our developers. Therefore we are looking for seniors, who can handle more technologies and learn very quickly. We are working with Microsoft technologies, Azure, AWS, MariaDB, MongoDB etc.
The team is international so you will use English both written and verbal. For this area we have one colleague in Kosice, one in Norway and one in Romania. In total there are 10 colleagues in Kosice working as operational engineers in more areas like Windows, Linux, Citrix, Databases and Infastructure. Your skills:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in related fields, preferably in database or computer science area, with an overall minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Understanding of HA and DR systems
Ability to write T-SQL , stored procedures and query tuning on high transaction systems
Ability to Create and manage constraints and indexes
Powershell/ Perl programming is a plus
In depth knowledge of processes, research and performance analysis capabilities
Negotiation capabilities and problem solving mindset
Effectively cope with change; comfortably adjust to alterations in work activities; able to decide and act with limited information; effectively handle risk and uncertainty in ambiguous situations
Demonstrated resilience, diplomacy, influence, relationship building, and problem solving skills in a variety of situations
Analytical mind and excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English and team working capability
Tasks:
Design & implement processes in an agile manner, making it possible to manage stably in a complex environment
Monitor and analyse database performance and ensure effective and efficient utilisation of database systems/processes.
Participate in the development and management of database and data warehouse strategic, architectural, and tactical plans.
Assist in the development of database systems and solutions.
Provided individual coaching and training on databases and technologies.
Install and configure database software, as well as replication processes, as part of a Business Continuity solution for the database environment.
Keep database infrastructure standards up to date.
Work closely with IT project managers, database programmers and multimedia programmers
Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security
