Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer The Veeva Vault Powerhouse team within Bayer’s global IT function focuses on maximizing the value of our Veeva Vault based IT platforms for our Pharma R&D business. It ensures a strong and efficient backbone by providing mandatory and optional foundational elements to implementation projects and continuously improving them while taking full responsibility for operations and lifecycle maintenance. It facilitates cross-functional alignment and is strongly driven by leveraging the benefits of an efficient and consistent integration architecture to seamlessly integrate Veeva Vault instances into the Bayer IT landscape. We are searching for a Senior Cloud Engineer. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing and deploying infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines within the AWS cloud environment,Drive an engineering mindset focused on continually improving technology offerings with focus on automated setup and monitoring of platform components,Developing and maintaining Python/Shell scripts,Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and solve issues before go-live,Collaborate with data scientists, IT product managers and IT Architects over the entire product lifecycle being active member of respective product teams. WHO YOU ARE: Min. 5 yrs of experience in IT, 2-3 in similar role,Practical knowledge of AWS Cloud services and Terraform,Experience with containerization and container runtime orchestrators - Docker and Kubernetes on AWS (EKS),Experience providing Continuous Delivery (CD) and Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines (ideally using Argo suite),Familiarity with workflow engines, i.e. Argo Workflows, AirFlow,Experience in writing Shell or Python scripts,Strong focus on teamwork and communication to collaborate on shared objectives in flexible DevOps teams,Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
