You will be working on a front-end application called MyHealth that our customers use every day to gain insight into the operation of their power plants. You will experience firsthand the effects of your work on the lives of your end users. A typical day will consist of working together with other developers – both frontend and backend – on the team to address a specific business requirement, peer code reviewing, interaction with project manager, architects and business stakeholders on user stories and tasks and with quality assurance engineers to test and address issues.How You’ll Make an ImpactWork with product owners and other business stakeholders to understand and analyze requirements of the project.Perform solution designing, evaluate different implementation options, and realize them. Often you will create a prototype to ensure the feasibility of your design before implementing it. Work with backend developers to review the end-to-end flow of user stories that you implement. Perform code reviews ensuring the highest code quality and security of the application Work with test engineers to design test strategy and support them with implementing them Perform source code merges, tagging and branchingWork with business stakeholders and test engineers to troubleshoot support issues and to resolve them Finetune our CI/CD and release strategies.What You Bring Master’s / bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar with a minimum 8 years of experience in the field of Software Development and Architecture. Lead a team of software developers and testers in the design and development of complex web and mobile applications. Ability to develop prototypes/concepts for the requirements. Develop according to Siemens Energy Corporate UI guideline standards including colors, icons, typographic specifications, graphics, as well as other relevant elements Documentation and maintenance of software and tools used in the project Implement best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies Perform code reviews and participate in defining & ensuring adherence to coding standards Deliver rapidly in a reliable manner with the highest quality standards Curious, passionate about problem solving, building and self-improving Experience in Agile development Fluent English Skills Experience working in and with international teams and stakeholders with different cultures Technical Skills Design and development of software applications using Angular and a variety of other web and mobile development frameworks like Capacitor and charting libraries like Plotly, HighCharts etc. Highly proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript. Proficient in at least one other programming language like Python, C#, Ruby etc. Prior experience developing responsive mobile applications and launching them on AppStore and Google Play Store. Sound technical knowledge of concepts like microservice design, authentication and authorization (OpenID, OAuth, SAML), web components, web sockets etc. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform end-to-end analysis of user request, profiling, and instrumentation. Deep knowledge of secure coding practices and prior experience with supporting penetration tests. Review estimates from other developers, perform design and code reviews and provide input to business stakeholders. Work together with QA team to define and implement test strategy. Experience performing source code version control activities like branching, merging, conflict resolution etc. Strong knowledge of tools like Gitlab/Jira/Confluence. Experience with AWS or another cloud and thorough knowledge of the breadth of their services. Proficiency in HTML, CSS (Less, Sass).
