You will be working in a team for one of the largest providers of reloadable prepaid debit cards and cash reload processing services in the United States. It is additionally the largest processor of tax refund disbursements in the U.S. Client’s products and services are available to consumers through a large-scale 'branchless bank' distribution network of more than 100,000 U.S. retail locations and neighborhood financial service center locations, online, in the leading app stores, and through 25,000 tax preparation offices. IF YOU ARE Possessing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field Showing 5+ years of software development, 4+ years of data engineering, and 3+ years of data modeling/DB design Working with SQL Server including T-SQL, writing complex stored procedures, performance optimization, and SSIS packages Strong in data modeling and relational database design An expert in performance tuning in various DB environments with large volume and velocity of data Having the cores of SQL administration and monitoring Used to Agile and Scrum development methodologies Competent in working with complex business needs, and driving a successful data strategy Aware of the financial technology domain (as a plus) Familiar with Microsoft Azure Data Engineering-related development experience (as a benefit) Showing the advantage of .NET, MVC, C# HTML5 CSS3 AJAX jQuery IIS, and JavaScript Skilled with NoSQL, Cosmos DB, and Kafka/Event-Streaming (nice-to-have) Naturally curious, analytical, a strategic thinker, and proactive A self-starter, disciplined, solutions-oriented with high attention to detail Capable of communicating effectively and establishing relationships across business units at the Upper-Intermediate level of English AND YOU WANT TO Work within shifted working hours Create OTLP database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Execute design sessions to gather requirements Review, approve, and communicate design artifacts with stakeholders Architect and manage various data models associated with Relational DBs (primarily MS SQL Server) and ad-hoc with NoSQL DBs (Azure Cosmos, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.) Design, implement, and maintain database solutions, and manage data access Resolve database performance, capacity, and security issues Perform problem-solving of application issues and production errors, including high-level critical ones Design and code a high volume of SQL queries, stored procedures, and maintenance of SSIS packages Provide technical documentation as needed Monitor and perform performance tuning on stored procedures and ETL jobs Create and design performant data movement pipelines; and data migrations Determine the business needs for data reporting requirements Help customers meet the goals of their analytics initiatives Implement from scratch or migrate Data Lakes, Big Data platforms, and streaming analytics solutions TOGETHER WE WILL Support your technical and personal growth – we have a dedicated career plan for all roles in our company Investigate new technologies, build internal prototypes, and share knowledge with the SoftServe Big Data Community Gain access to unlimited upskill opportunities with full access to Udemy learning courses Embrace professional certifications, encouraged and covered by the company Assimilate best practices from experts, working in a team of top-notch Engineers and Architects Access to different business and technology challenges, drive multiple projects and initiatives as a part of the Center of Excellence
