Project Platform Engineers are responsible for crafting, constructing, and upkeeping fundamental infrastructure that supports a range of software applications and services. Working collaboratively among diverse teams, comprising software developers, data engineers, IT operations, and network engineers, they guarantee the stability, scalability, and optimal performance of the platform. Their duties involve creating and deploying servers, databases, and networks utilizing advanced technologies and adhering to industry standards. Moreover, they oversee troubleshooting, monitor issues, and actively contribute to capacity planning, security evaluations, and disaster recovery efforts, ensuring reliability. Maintaining an updated awareness of industry trends is crucial for ongoing enhancement. Proficiency in problem-solving, communication, and teamwork is essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Working together with Data Engineers to assess and choose suitable technologies and tools for the project Building a reliable system while having the ability to move fast GCP cloud management with IaC (Terraform/Deployment Manager) Implementing and executing policies aligned to the strategic plans of the company to use technologies, work organization, etc. Creating and propagating standards of work in projects Implementing and maintaining backup and disaster recovery processes Recording operational facets of platforms Conducting training and knowledge-sharing Requirements Proficiency in a programming language like Python, Java, or Go Experience with scripting languages like Bash Experience with Google Cloud Platform management Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins or Bitbucket) Knowledge of data warehousing/lakehouse platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks Familiarity with Deployment Manager/Terraform/Ansible Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, as well as automation tools like ArgoCD or Flux Knowledge of operating systems like Linux, which includes file system, package and process management, security hardening, and patch management Understanding complexity and relationships between businesses, suppliers, partners, competitors, and clients Very good command of English (min B2) We offer   Salary: 150-185 PLN net + VAT/h B2B (depending on knowledge and experience) 100% remote work Flexible working hours Possibility to work from the office located in the heart of Warsaw Opportunity to learn and develop with the best Big Data specialists in Poland International projects Possibility of conducting workshops and training.
