You will play a key role in building a Design System and its adoption strategy. As a Frontend Engineer on the Design System Experience Team, you will be responsible for crucial aspects of our product development, architecture and UI excellence. Collaborating within a large team (10+ people), including various experts and business stakeholders, you will help shape our NextGen engineering culture. You will be a key player in architecture, engineering and design decisions for new UI development across Full creative/ AnywhereWorks products. We started building our DS over half a year ago and we are not building it into a new booking page on our flagship product. With time,it will be adopted into all other modules and products. Technologies we use & teach: Monorepos, CI tools, TypeScript, Next.js, React, React Native, Playwright, Storybook, Chromatic, GCP, Vercel. About You. You have industry experience as a Senior or Principal Engineer, and are comfortable working with React, TypeScript, monorepos, CI and the entire frontend ecosystem. You:Are active technical leader with hands-on technical skills - You inspire your peers with your technical expertise and your understanding of modern tools and frameworks, and possess the ability to get your ideas across to other leaders clearly and persuasively. Additionally, you have good foresight into architectural constraints and potential issues before they arise.Have expert-level frontend engineering skills and are able to define the quality bar for what we ship - You establish best practices and standards for the team. You actively document practices and patterns for the team and ensure that all team members are working towards a common goal of shipping high quality code.Can lead our other engineers and build strong remote first engineering culture - You are able to provide mentorship for our mid level developers on how the nextgen frontend stack should be used and adopted. This will not only improve the end product, but it will also increase the team's efficiency and collaboration.Have passion for working together (Dev & Design) - You act as a liaison between developers and designers, promoting communication and collaboration to ensure that all aspects of the system are being considered and incorporated into the final product. This will lead to a more cohesive and effective team dynamic, resulting in better software.Are a system thinker - You possess strong system thinking skills, which involve understanding and analysing complex systems as a whole. Comprehend the frontend ecosystem, identify interdependencies between components, evaluate scalability and performance, integrate with backend systems, and solve problems holistically.Are the watcher of the best practices - You continuously monitor the technology trends and provide guidance to the team on new technologies that can be used to improve the product and user experience. This will keep our team ahead of the curve and ensure that we are using the latest and most advanced technologies in our software development process.
