We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Steel Team at DAZN. You will play a pivotal part in building and maintaining our front-end infrastructure, ensuring a seamless streaming experience for millions of sports fans worldwide. As our Senior Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to: Architect, develop, and maintain our front-end orchestration platform that must be flexible, adaptive and stable;Optimize front-end performance and reliability with best practices and industry-standard methodologies;Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, back-end engineers, and product managers, to deliver exceptional user experiences;Learn and share expertise with colleagues and the wider industry, driving innovation within DAZN;Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering an environment of growth and development. You’ll be set up for success if you: Have professional experience in front-end development in general, good knowledge of browsers;Have strong experience with vanilla TS/JS and knowledge of modern UI frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular);Are proficient in other relevant acronyms: HTTP, HTML, CSS, SSR and the rest;Have solid understanding and love for various test techniques and frameworks: unit, integration, E2E;Strive for performance, stability and cross-platform compatibility;Understand and use build tools, CI/CD (We use GitHub Actions);Have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work without guidance in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment;Are able to communicate and collaborate in a clear, open and healthy way. Even better if you have: Server-side rendering experience;Experience with HTML-based apps for living room devices, such as smart TVs and gaming consoles;Experience with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure, terraform;On-call schedules and handling production issues experience.
