The Senior Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing the strategic sourcing process and build key supplier relationships and business partner relationships at market and area level aligned with the Global Procurement operating model.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Regional Procurement team responsible for Directs materials across the Western Europe Factory Operations.
This critical role will drive best-in-class procurement practices and commercial excellence, to support the delivery of the business unit goals and the Corporate Strategy
Reports to: Procurement Business Manager
Reporting Level: Individual Contributor
Geographic Scope: Regional
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Recommend sourcing strategies for materials within scope, in alignment with the business requirements and relevant regulations, and in collaboration with the Geographic Head of Procurement and Procurement Business Manager.
- Execute sourcing plans for the materials within scope, in line with global standards and policies.
- Support geographic contract negotiations effectively to deliver robust terms and conditions that leads BAT’s service delivery and commercial risk and that represent value for money.
- Build strong supplier base relationships and lead negotiation and supplier selection within the framework of the category strategies and sourcing strategies.
- Lead geographic supplier management and drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers in coordination with Supply Chain and Quality.
- Supervise contractual performance in accordance with agreed SLAs to identity and resolve issues, escalating as appropriate.
- Lead compliance activities related to Group Procurement standards, policies and platforms.
- Ensure contracts are completed for all in-scope supply agreements
CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?
- Do you have knowledge of Supply Chain or Direct Material Sourcing?
- Have you worked in a global organisation with reporting lines outside of country?
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment in a procurement or commercial role.
- Management of complex global and area projects and programmes to improve performance and deliver service.
- Strong Stakeholders Management and interpersonal skills
- Planning, negotiation and influencing skills
- Numerical and analytical ability
- Knowledge of SAP, E-Sourcing & P2P process
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or similar
- Proficient in Business English
BENEFICIAL
- Procurement/Sourcing experience at above market level or multi country in FMCG company
- CIPS Corporate Diploma in Purchasing and/or membership of The Chartered Institute for Purchasing and Supply or equivalent country qualification or membership
