Senior Strategic Buyer in Siemens Sibiu will be responsible to manage suppliers and achieve best possible cost savings while ensuring the most beneficial supply base for the company. You will be responsible for: You take ownership of our supply chain strategy and set strategic and operational purchasing directions of assigned scope as category expert for direct and indirect materials. Maintain the database of vendor contracts and manage contract renewals on a timely basis. Identify and qualify new suppliers regarding price, quality, delivery, flexibility, and financial stability, etc. in collaboration with Engineering, Quality and Finance. Negotiates agreements, evaluates suppliers’ performance, and periodically review contracts and renews pricelists, terms, and conditions. Prepare purchasing decisions and contractual agreements and ensure compliance requirements. Establish and accomplish yearly cost reduction goals base on product category and/or commodity. Act as an entrepreneur – reflected in your actions and your daily contact with our suppliers. Essential Qualifications, and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Purchasing. 3-5 years of experience in procurement, contract management, supplier management. Technical flair and understanding of product drawings. Good negotiation skills, with experience in global sourcing. Experience within a High Volume – High-Mix serial production company. Good analytical skills, fast and effective at dealing with difficult situations. Ability to adapt and manage effectively in fast-paced changing complex environment. Solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills. A flexible person with a can-do attitude who sees opportunities where others see risks. Knowledge of MS Office and SAP. Align, and collaborating well with local functions like Quality, Production, Logistics, Engineering, and other functions from Germany HQ. Fluent in English language, German would be an advantage.
