Circle K IT Team, Fuel and Retail Tech Europe are responsible for business applications (a portfolio of 20+ applications) and Retail IT operation in CK Europe.We are divided in to 3 application development/maintenance teams and teams for Retail IT operation.1. Retail Sale & Supply at store level 2. Retail Forecourt & Retail Payment3. Fuel Card & Payment/Settlement Systems Most of our applications are domain specific software packages or SAAS contracts with branch niched vendors, the exceptions are with in Fuel Card and Payment/Settlement where we also have inhouse developed systems. We are a distributed team, with members across Europe with high domain knowledge in addition to technical skillset. The Fuel Card domain, are on an exciting journey to digitize the system landscape and introducing new services, transforming from legacy platforms (inhouse developed Mainframe/Cobol appl.) to the next generation Fuel Card Issuing platform. To simplify standardize and increase flexibility and speed to market. We are now looking for a highly skilled, passionate and self-motivated leader to join the team as Senior Team manager for Fuel Card and Card Payment/Settlement team. Goal and solution-oriented leader with capability to communicate efficiently, drive decision and execute, critical thinking, pragmatic, people person and with commercial awareness. Responsibilities: Responsible for application development, maintenance and operation for a combination of inhouse development apps and 3rd parties’ Software/SAAS service contracts and integration. Lead a team of 10 employee’s, distributed across Europe and several supporting contractors (incl. a team lead for the inhouse development of Settlement/Payment appl.), Actively contribute to the transformation agenda moving from legacy fuel card system to new Card Platform. Drive and lead small /medium sized roadmaps activities incl. archiving and decommission of old legacy platform. Contribute to building strategy and roadmaps for new Fuel Card businesses (including upcoming M&A’s). Engage in management meetings/discussions with your peer’s, team managers and solution architects to drive modernization, automate and build scalable solutions. Work closely with business stakeholders and other global tech stakeholders across functions to achieve targets. As an IT manager leading a team of experienced employees, the key responsibilities include managing team and vendor responsibilities, as well as stakeholder engagement. This involves assigning tasks, ensuring that team members have the resources they need, and managing vendor performance. The IT manager must also work closely with stakeholders to manage expectations, communicate progress, and address any concerns. Effective leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for success in this role. Lead people Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.Set clear team goals based on the company goals.Motivate and guide team and follow up on team performance. Development and Maintenance Ensure stable, secure operation and deliver development to projects.Drive the development towards a more agile way of working.Have an active role in the New Card platform project, securing IT deliverables.Develop roadmaps and execute upon them together with stakeholders. Vendor management Managing third-party vendors and service providers, relationship, performance and ensure deliverables meet quality standards. Stakeholder management Work closely, collaborate and manage expectations with business stakeholders within Fuel Card and Finance. Budget and cost follow up Qualifications: Master’s degree/ bachelor’s degree in IT or relatedWorking experience as a senior team leader and/or senior project manager (min. 5 years). Experience in leading software development and maintenance processes including Agile and DevOps.Experience in vendor management, relationship, performance SLA, including quality.Strong communication skills and good English skills both spoken and written.Working experience with Bank Card or with other B2B Card platforms is an advantage. Experience from planning, budgeting, and cost follow up.
