About the team
Worldpay’s New Acquiring Platform (NAP) Engineering division specializes in delivering payment processing services to our customers and are looking for Engineers to join our team and take our systems to the next level. NAP is unique in the world and puts us firmly beyond what the competition can deliver. Operating within a collaborative Agile environment, we strive to deliver effective solutions for our customers using our evolving payment platform.
What you will be doing
- Complete Exploratory Testing/Manual/Functional Testing of the user stories delivered in the sprint
- Overall ownership of the testing activities within project teams
- Estimates testing effort, plan and manage the generation of all tests within Scrum Team
- Manage and execute tests accurately and within agreed Sprint time scales
- Manage and assign defects for resolution
- May create SQL scripts to facilitate the inspection, extraction, transformation and loading of data
- Usage of the test automation framework / tools – Cucumber - to produce and maintain the Automated Functional Regression Test capability
- Update the Automation Suite following each sprint to include new features
- Maintain the test suite to ensure it continues to work following updates to the code/design
- Ensure test coverage is agreed and reviewed by the Delivery Team.
- Ensure the Automated Test Suite is integrated with the CI Server Jobs
- Review Component & Component Integration Test results
- Participate and provide updates on tasks at the Daily Stand Up
- Attend Sprint Planning, Design Review, Showcase & Retrospectives
- Ensure Acceptance Criteria achieve Product Owner sign-off
- Review user stories & design documentation and ensure they are singular, unambiguous, complete & testable
- Responsible for supporting the implementation of process improvements identified in the retrospective
What you bring
- Proven working experience in testing complex software applications (usage of automation test frameworks / tools like Cucumber is a big plus)
- Sound understanding and experience of the Agile software development lifecycle
- Experience with different bug tracking systems like JIRA, HP ALM, others
- Knowledge of data extraction, transformation and data loading techniques
- Experience with different RDMS or DW (any of Oracle, MS SQL Server, others) and SQL, PL/SQL language
- Strong analytical skills, able to provide support to solve business or production problems
- Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical and non-technical issues
- Highly collaborative, supportive and team player that demonstrates a proactive ‘can do’ attitude
- Responsive, assertive and drive a continuous improvement ethos in all interactions
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Passion about sharing knowledge and best practices
- Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrixed organizations
- Fluent English (written/verbal)
