When you add that to the challenges we take on and solve together, you’ll discover that at HARMAN you can grow, make a difference and be proud of the work you do everyday.Position Summary: SW Architect for Telematics ProgramsJob Responsibilities:Develop/Contribute in defining software design strategy for the area of responsibility (e.g. Project, Domain, BU ENG, Application)Identify architectural constraints for the architectural level (project, domain, application) based on technical and organizational requirements and decompose them to architectural levels belowDevelop software architecture for the assigned architectural level fulfilling the architectural requirementsDefine, develop and verify all interfaces to related SW architectural elements are completeDescribe, evaluate and verify dynamic behaviour and interaction between the related SW architectural elementsAnalyze customer requirement and map them to existing architecture or extend the architecture starting from RFQ/RFI phaseAnalyse and address architectural relevant non functional requirementsEnsure traceability and consistency to system architecture and to software requirementsRecommend implementation standards and design patterns that support information security and regulatory compliance objectives.Document key technical requirements for our Telematic Software.Customer contact for identifying and understanding architectural requirementsContribute to the Cybersecurity project effortsSupport the Cybersecurity Manager to develop different technical work productsRepresent the project for Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA)Make risk treatment decisionsDerive security requirements from TARA, and maintain the requirements specification for the cybersecurity concept.Support RFI/RFQ response on cybersecurity activities.Basic Qualifications:Masters or Bachelor degree in electrical, communications, computer engineering or similar disciplineKnowledge of embedded software, system and beyondProven technical leadershipAbility to clearly communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.Expert knowledge and experience of Software ArchitectureExperience with design methods (e.g. UML or SysML)Modelling tools and languagesKnowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE® specially SWE.2)Analysis of requirementsAbility to document comprehensively and conciselyDecision making and problem solving abilityMany years of experience in product development, embedded software and connectivity technologiesHands on in C++ and is willing to get their hands dirty on a continuous basisGood understanding of Linux OS kernel and user spacePreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Automotive Functional Safety (ISO 26262)Competent on Automotive Cybersecurity Engineering (ISO 21434)Competent on TARA methodologiesKnowledge of cryptography application in automotive ecosystemKnowledge of secure coding standardsEligibility Requirements:Willingness to travel (0-20% of time) depending on the project necessities
