We are looking for a technology-passionate Business Analyst, who understands the entire digital ecosystem and has a proactive mindset, exceptional analytical skills, as well as an excellent command of written and spoken English. Our new teammate's role will be to conduct requirement elicitation and analysis during the delivery of a project, but also to take part in pre-sales activities, help the sales team to present their business expertise and the envisioned software solution. Your responsibilities:
Ability to create a value proposition for our customers/prospects, by identifying and analyzing pains, gains, customer jobs Create the high-level product roadmap from the value proposition/product vision Conduct Fit Gap Analysis Create an analysis strategy based on project methodology (SCRUM, WATERFALL, DSDM) Identify business stakeholders and analyze the organizational structure in order to see where the proposed solution will fit within the organization Conduct/drive discovery workshops (onsite or offsite), interviews, focus groups etc. (Requirement Elicitation) Work together with a Solution Architect and/or User Experience Specialist in order to deliver the full spectrum of requirements Requirements documentation using existing tools and processes (Draw.io, Confluence, Jira etc.) Requirements management and traceability (ability to track requirements from pre-sales to the end of the implementation cycles). In agile projects, the Business Analyst will act as a Product Owner, being responsible for the product backlog Set up the Requirement Sign-off Strategy Explain the requirements to the development team from a more technical perspective (adjust communication-based on the audience) Work closely with the project manager regarding the project plan, risk management, acceptance plan, scope management, stakeholder management Be part of the estimation process (timescales, resources, business analysis effort) Determine business analysis artifacts Establish an agreement with the stakeholders on the definition of ambiguous terms and expressions that may have definitions in various contexts - where appropriate, create a dictionary of terms Define assumptions and constraints Identify side effects of the existing requirements Prepare & present the requirements documentation (deliverables according to the BA project plan) Determine the process for requirements change that needs to be approved by stakeholders Manage conflicts and issues that might arise Your Skills: Strong conceptual and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal skills (e.g. being able to influence the customer into adopting the industry best practices) Very good presentation skills Conflict and Expectation Management Active listener Able to adapt communication to the audience technical/business maturity level Fluent written and spoken English German language would be an advantage Tools
JIRA, Confluence, Draw.io, SharePoint, HP ALM, Microsoft Office Your Experience: 2+ years Experience as a Software Business Analyst Involved in software pre-sales activities: Bids/Opportunities, Sales Pitches, RFI/RFP response Experience with software development projects that were delivered using different methodologies (SCRUM, WATERFALL, RUP, DSDM/ALF) Experience as an IT Business Analyst / Software Analyst in projects for one or more of the following industries: Medical and Life Sciences, Technologies, Banking Technical background or experience in a technical role (software development) is a plus Bachelor’s Degree in Software Development, Computer Engineering, Project Management or related field What will you find in iQuest?
