Job DescriptionAs a Software Integration Engineer in Intel Automotive, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless integration of software components, subsystems, and applications into complex systems. You will collaborate with development teams, quality assurance engineers, and project managers to ensure that software products are successfully integrated, tested, and deployed, meeting the highest quality standards. Your expertise in software development, troubleshooting, and communication will be instrumental in achieving successful software integration. Key Responsibilities:� Integration Planning: � Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the overall system architecture and design. � Contribute to integration planning by defining integration milestones, dependencies, and timelines. � Component Integration: � Integrate software components, subsystems, and third-party modules into a cohesive system. � Collaborate with development teams to resolve any integration challenges or conflicts. � Configuration Management: � Manage and track software versions, configurations, and changes throughout the integration process. � Ensure proper version control and maintain a consistent configuration environment. � Testing and Validation: � Develop and execute integration test plans to verify the correct functionality of integrated components. � Identify, report, and help resolve any defects or issues arising during integration testing. � Issue Resolution: � Investigate and troubleshoot issues encountered during integration, collaborating with development and QA teams to find solutions. � Provide timely feedback and updates on issue resolution progress. � Continuous Improvement: � Identify opportunities to streamline integration processes and improve efficiency. � Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for software integration. � Documentation: � Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation related to integration procedures, test cases, and issue resolutions. � Create technical documentation to aid in troubleshooting and knowledge sharing. � Collaboration and Communication: � Collaborate with software development, QA, and project management teams to ensure effective communication and coordination. � Participate in regular meetings to provide status updates and discuss integration-related issues.QualificationsQualifications and Skills: � Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. � Solid understanding of software development principles, including version control, build systems, and continuous integration. � Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Bash, Perl, Shell Scripting, C and/or C++ and HTML. � Experience with SW integration, Build/Validation tools, automation and best practices. � Experience with version control systems Git), issue tracking systems JIRA), and CI/CD pipelines Jenkins, CloudBees). � Knowledge of Intel client platform architecture, CPU/PCH architecture. � Experience with integration of complex software systems in industries such as automotive, aerospace. � Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies Docker, Kubernetes). � Experience with testing frameworks PyTest, Junit, Selenium WebDriver). � Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. � Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.Fluent in Romanian and English languageInside this Business GroupCorporate Strategy Office is chartered to support the executive office in driving corporate initiatives, including near and long-term strategy, major cross-group decision making and ensuring cross-company alignment.
