Software Technical Lead - Essex or Wiltshire - 6 Month Contract - £ - £ per day (Inside IR35)- SC Clearance Our client is developing software for Geospatial applications for the military and are looking for a Software Technical Lead! Our client follows a DevOps life cycle approach and an Agile development methodology utilising SAFe and SCRUM as core methods. This role is within an established engineering management and leadership team that embrace Agile working, involved in deployments across different disciplines to add value to the business area. This role will require an on site presence in either Wiltshire or Essex, the rest of the work can be done remotely. The Key Responsibilities of a Software Technical Lead: Engineering leadership of a multi-disciplined team of software and technical experts. Responsible for the technical development and delivery of the product and services to the customer and end users. Generation of the Engineering development plan and then execution against our client's from early bid phase through to final delivery. Work package management including planning, tracking and reporting of key performance indicators. External technical first point of contact and liaison for key internal and external customer organisations. Close liaison with Design Authority to ensure technical integrity of programmes. Management cost adherence to the programme budgets, using earned value' techniques. Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Software Technical Lead role, however you will not be expected to have everything: Experience in technical team leadership. Experience of planning, estimating, and defining engineering tasks. Proven track record of delivering solutions with a customer-first mind set. Established background in engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Understanding of software development life cycles and the impact these have on requirements management. Ideally experience of working in SAFe/Agile/Scrum/DevOp delivery model.
