Speech Pathologist - relocation to Australia in Bucuresti

As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for the Speech Therapy management of individuals with a variety of conditions including neurological and developmental conditions. Your tasks will include: Monitor, evaluate and modify treatment to measure client progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention. Assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with communication disorders Discuss services and treatment options with potential clients and/or their primary caregivers. Provide comprehensive assessment, costing and rehabilitiation reports, including recommendations to Case Managers, Insurers, primary health organisations, private organisations and/or local authorities. Discuss services and treatment options with potential clients and/or their primary caregivers. Ensure that clients are involved in the planning and prioritisation of their rehabilitation plans wherever possible. Provide support, consultation and advice on relevant Physiotherapy issues to clients and caregivers. Help in complex cases, ensuring the coordination of services involved such as health, social, statutory and voluntary services. Adopting practice to fit individual client's needs, including acknowledging cultural, social and linguistic differences, as well as cognitive and physical disabilities. Use best practice in order to be more effective. Use appropriate methods of communication with clients and carers to maximise rehabilitation potential and their understanding of the condition. Speech Pathology Management plans, advice, teaching and instruction are provided to relatives, carers and other professionals. Communicate effectively and collaboratively with all health and social care sectors to ensure delivery of a co-ordinated service. This will include case conferences, joint sessions, and documentation. Assess capacity, gain valid informed consent and can work within a legal framework with clients who lack the capacity to consent to treatment. Work in collaboration with/refer various schemes (NDIS/ICWA/DVA etc) and Primary Health Organisations (State Head Injury Unit, Fiona Stanley etc) settings in repose to identified patient need. Help with regular goal planning and ensure that information is shared on a frequent basis. Reinforce diagnosis of terminal, progressive and non-recovering conditions in a skilled and empathetic way. Plan, develop, coordinateand deliver and evaluate the occupational therapy service to clients in line with national guidelines (e.g. Clinical Guidelines for Stroke Management) and NICE guidelines. Inform Clinical and Team Leaders on issues of service delivery. Responsible for the implementation of clinical policies and protocols. Assess and identify new equipment as appropriate to a client’s clinical need. This may be privately funded or through requests to other agencies. Be aware of the funding arrangements of all clients. If appropriate, be aware of the limits and restrictions of funding from third parties. Clinical Lead and Advanced Clinician Speech Pathologists to participate in the teaching and training of staff and other professionals as agreed. Develop a Clinical Professional Development Portfolio and a Personal Development Plan, according to professional standards, that documents the progress of gaining knowledge in areas of clinical expertise required for improving standards for self and service. This will be in collaboration with Anderson NDS developmental pathways. To be a good fit for the Speech Pathologist role, you will have: Studies in Speech Pathology (Undergraduate or Masters) Registration with Speech Pathology Australia and associated Private Indemnity Insurance. Full valid Driver’s License Working with Children’s Check NDIS Worker Screening Check  Experience or interest in Neurological rehabilitation. Work within the guidelines of Speech Pathology Australia as set out with the National Alliance of Self-Regulating Health Professionals.
