We help thousands of customers collect, manage and synthesize petabytes of data with high fidelity and velocity. We help them make sense of that data, glean insights and run algorithms, so they can deliver delightful experiences in real-time, every time.This position is for a key contributor who will be a part in developing modern data architectures, developing Big Data and Lakehouse solutions, and implementing those solutions through to production.What you'll Do Define the architecture for Lakehouse solution, batch & real-time data computation with a focus on high availability, low latency, and scalability.Take ownership and partner with multi-functional professionals (Product Management, Design, etc.) to create customer-focused solutions.Standardize methodologies, eloquent ideas, & market them across teams and organizations.Prototype innovative approaches and production solutions at scale.Collaborate closely with other engineers as a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team. Work in an environment that supports your individual growth and continuous learning.Interact with senior leadership for alignment on architectural approaches for new initiatives.Hands-on software developmentBe a technical leader with the ability and desire to mentor other members of the team.Posibility to contribute to Open Source projectsWhat you need to succeed Proven experience as an Architect or Technical Lead; validated ability of experience developing in Java OR Scala.Proficient in algorithms and logical skillsPassionate about computer science, developing software & internet applications.Proven experience building large scale real time & batch data processing systems using big data technologies.Ability to research and become proficient in new technologies.Solid experience in regards of observability, i.e. monitoring, logging, tracing, etc.Proficient in best practices for writing code that is maintainable and secure.Under-the-hood knowledge of technologies such as Spark & KafkaCommitted to the highest levels of quality, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness both in testing and code development.Scala knowledge is a plus.Experience in working with infrastructure, i.e. cloud providers, containers, orchestrators, VM/Bare metal deployments.Problem solving skills, ability to investigate to find the root of the problem.Experience mentoring junior engineers.Experience presenting at conferences is a plus.Very good written and verbal communication skillsVery good English language knowledge, written and spoken.
