Storage Administration Engineer in Bucuresti

Your day to day: Design and develop complex configurations for our storage infrastructure on our global environment.Responsible of supporting Vodafone’s key business applications as customer care, billing, e-commerce, SAP, cloud. With these activities, you will have a great impact on our business: • Researching and evaluating all storage technologies, understanding exactly how they operate and how they will succeed or fail in our unique environment.• Participate in complex activities focusing on proper time management and provide equal contribution within the team on managing daily tasks and projects.• Root cause analysis assistance during complex issues (including coordination & involvement of third party resources/vendor/multiple teams) to ensure elimination of underlying causes of incidents.• Develop procedures and documentation to ensure successful transition of storage platforms into operational support.• Contribute to our automation initiatives, having the opportunity to develop new ideas that will add value in our ways of working.• Assure 24hx7 support through planning of proper on-call duty and using external vendor involvement as required. With these skills, you are a great candidate: • IT systems administration experience < 1 years• To be able to operate and maintain the administration of storage devices, and related IT infrastructure components • Basic knowledge about implemented hardware and software solutions• Working for international customers in cross-cultural teams is substantial in infrastructure services• Basic knowledge on enterprise and midrange storage• Unix, Linux Skills, Python, Bash, KornShell scripting• Experience in cloud computing and virtualization concepts• Network skills, ITIL knowledge, high understanding of security principles and SOX regulations Sounds like the perfect job?
