Overview
System Accountant is a specialist role reporting to the General Accounting Operations Manager, which acts as an interface between the Finance team and Blackline System admin (IT). Also, the System Accountant will be in charge of the SOX compliance tasks across all GBS towers.
Responsibilities
Tool Admin (Blackline)
- Reviewing systems performance and identifying system issues;
- Maintain databases and perform updates as necessary to ensure accuracy;
- Designing and implementing internal system controls (preventative and detective) to provide quality assurance over financial data;
- Reviewing and maintaining Blackline procedures, controls and training materials;
- Collaborating with IT and finance teams to meet business requirements;
- Troubleshooting and fixing finance related system issues;
- Tool maintenance for finance functions (Global Calendar, CC, plants, PC etc);
- Calculate and monitor KPI results and propose actions to increase efficiency of the metrics;
SOX Compliance
- Coordinate periodically SOX testing across all GBS Towers;
- Review test findings within the Internal/External Audit Team, facilitate the remediation of control gaps, and escalate possible critical issues to the Tower Leads;
Skills and Relevant Work Experience
- In depth understanding of processes, procedures and systems pertaining to area of responsibility;
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Tools ;
- SAP - Expert, Blackline - Expert;
- English B2;
