The Opportunity:Shutterstock is seeking a results driven, proactive and motivated accounting professional to take on the role of Billing Operations Team Lead for the Billing Ops team. In this multifaceted position, you will need to collaborate cross-functionally and spearhead process improvement initiatives. Furthermore, you will provide mentorship and support to team members, acting as a crucial link between the credit and collections specialists and senior management.The Day to Day:Billing Operations Management:Leadership of Billing Operations TeamPrepare Billing Operations management reports, KPI’s and audit schedules.Review team performance and manage workload in the team to meet SLA’s Review incoming adjustment documents submitted by the team, for accuracy purposeEngage and promote optimal collaboration with internal and external strategic customersUse detailed understanding of billing systems / processes to make improvements to internal customer experience, error rates, etc.Participate in the quarterly and year-end audits ensuring statutory compliance.Administer the Sarbanes Oxley key financial controls for the Billing Operations function.Execute ad hoc projects as directed by senior management.Team Leadership:Offer mentorship and guidance to team members, sharing your expertise in Billing Operations Provide clear direction and address specific questions, often assuming responsibility for overseeing or handling complex cases and escalations.Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.Train and develop teammates on new systems and procedures, ensuring strict adherence to internal accounting controls.Process Improvement:Collaborate cross-functionally to redesign and rebuild existing processes within the billing workflow, eliminating operational impediments that hinder prompt payments.Execute ad hoc projects as directed by senior management to address complex financial challenges.Reporting and Audit:Prepare and deliver comprehensive reporting relating to operational activities to senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.Participate in quarterly and year-end audits to ensure strict compliance with statutory requirements.Administer key financial controls for the Credit and Collections function, including Sarbanes Oxley compliance.Ideal Candidate Qualifications:Possess a strong understanding of billing and finance processes, preferably within a tech, media, advertising, or e-commerce organization.Exhibit an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and financial reports.Demonstrate strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse perspectives and backgrounds to negotiate positive outcomes.Embody Shutterstock's high ethical standards and code of conduct. What you’ll bring to the role: 7+ years of prior Billing/Finance experience in Accounts Receivable with proven track records including at least 2+ years in a supervisory or team capacity.BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferredWorking knowledge of accounts receivable-related accounting concepts.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsWell versed Excel skill is preferred.Why Shutterstock:You have a direct impact on the success of the company.
