For a key client from the energy sector in Germany, we are assembling an experienced DevOps/Cloud Operations team. A key figure within that team will be a Team Lead with a strong understanding of both Google and Microsoft cloud solutions with a focus on product ownership, architecture, delivery, and operations. Join us! IMPORTANT NOTE: the role in principle is 100% remote but might require you to meet the team and Client in Berlin - a one-time trip for a maximum of up to 2 weeks (we cover the costs). The Team Lead for Public Cloud Services has a pivotal role within the product organization, responsible for overseeing Google Cloud Services and Azure Services. Reporting directly to the Program Lead, this position carries significant accountability, including product ownership, architecture, delivery, and operations. Area of responsibility: Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of product owners, architects, and cloud engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment within the EDP Public Cloud product organization. Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance on Google Cloud and Azure Services, ensuring robust product ownership, overseeing architecture, and managing the delivery and operations lifecycle. Product Delivery: Oversee the successful delivery of cloud-based products, ensuring adherence to best practices, timelines, and quality standards. Technical requirements: Deep understanding of Google Cloud Services and Azure Cloud Services, with a focus on product ownership, architecture, delivery, and operations. Proficiency in state-of-the-art IT delivery methodologies, including agile and waterfall, tailored to product-centric environments. Expertise in containerized workload environments, emphasizing product lifecycle management. Familiarity with K8S, GKE, or AKS, and their role in product architectures. Deep understanding of IT architecture principles, particularly as they pertain to product ownership, product delivery, and operations. Knowledge of the differences between virtualization and containerization, applied in a product-oriented context. Strong grasp of service scalability concepts, with an emphasis on product scalability. Familiarity with the internal organizational structures of Google and Microsoft as related to cloud services, viewed through the lens of product ownership and architecture.
