POSITION PURPOSE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Technical Manager within the digital products / supply chain software team, you will work with internal stakeholders to convert business requirements into solution specifications while also working directly with the software development team to plan, track, support and coordinate new product features, cross-platform integrations and upgrades to our software infrastructure. This is an ideal role for a highly communicative and technologically savvy project manager who enjoys both technical complexity and big picture product design.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Interacting with stakeholders from various teams to identify and refine business requirements, and then translating those requirements into solution specifications (e.g. functional specifications, data flows and wireframes, JIRA tickets, etc.)
- Planning, scheduling and tracking software releases, whether small bug fixes or large feature releases
- Supporting and helping oversee the software development team
- Problem solving the technical implications of product requirements and design
- Maintaining our development queue and backlog
- Assisting our QA team with UAT
- Leading and participating in daily technical scrums
QUALIFICATIONS
- Three years experience as a technical project manager, ideally within a data-rich web or mobile environment
- Experience overseeing software developers and coordinating with cross-functional software teams
- Strong written and verbal stakeholder management skills
- Extensive experience with task management software such as JIRA, Bugzilla, Pivotal, etc.
- Comfortable with Agile, SDLC and PMI project management methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with principles of object-oriented programming and best practices for web and mobile
- Prior experience as a software developer is beneficial, but not required
