For our Abbott Diagnostics Division we are looking for a talented, well-motivated person to join our filed support team in Romania as a Technical Service Specialist
Primary objective of the position
TheTechnical ServiceSpecialist isresponsiblefor providing level two support to our customer base – handling installations, complexrepairs, longer duration instrumenthardwareor software upgrades and providing basictrainingto customers and Abbott Ambassadors.
Major accountabilities
- Perform new customers and laboratorysite inspectionsfor new contract / tender preparations and design for new installations
- Provide level two service (complex serviceinterventionsrequiring more than four hours of labor)
- Installation of instruments, AbbottLink, andautomation
- Perform IQOQ (Installation Qualification Operation Qualification) procedures during and after installation
- Assist with customerbusiness reviews
- Schedule, perform and documenthardwareandsoftware updates(TSBs) requiring more than 2 hours of labor time
- Deliver basic customer operator introductorytrainingspost install or posthardwareorsoftware upgrade
- Perform basic technical coaching andtrainingforTechnical ServiceSpecialist
Requirements / Work experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelors / Engineering degree in medical / electrical / mechanical ormedical technologyis preferred
- More than 2 years of experience asTechnical ServiceSpecialist and or aproven track recordin a similar position, supported by management and customer references
- Successful engagement with customers, specifically key stakeholders and lab staff
- Excellent product andindustry knowledge
- Excellent experience and process skills of the business functions servicedelivery
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues
- Technical expert for product line responsibility
- Excellent experience in use ofanalyticaltools and software
