About the Role We Are Looking ForAs Technical Project Manager, you will take the role of Software Work Package Manager (SW WPM). You will manage and monitor the whole engineering activities of the solution. You will define the system development plan as well as the process, practice and tools based on the project constraints in order to guarantee the quality of the engineering solution delivered to the Customer.The SW WPM manages and coordinates internal multi-disciplined teams, which may include internal and external parties, performing a work package, and works with the Bid Manager / Project Manager and the Functional Manager for all aspects relating to his/her work package. Leads all work package activities (including those related to risks & opportunities) to reach objectives of the bid/project, regarding its technical, schedule, and financial aspects.The SW WPM is responsible to deliver his/her/their work package on time and at the agreed cost and quality.The SW WPM is accountable to the Project Manager to meet the commitments and deliverables of his/her/their work package and to contribute to the achievement of the project objectives and customer satisfaction, this in accordance with the entity’s policy.The SW WPM contributes to the development and validation of the RACI, identifies associated internal and external dependencies and ensures these are monitored in coordination with the relevant provider.Technical Skills Required:Technical background for at least 5 years (as software developer or quality engineer)At least a first experience of 2 years in a technical management positionFacilitation skills to handle workshops with stakeholders to clarify requirements and scopeKnowledge of configuration and change management tools (e.g. JIRA)Active contribution to communities (e.g. Project Management communities) and implement best practicesIn charge of centralizing the identification, monitoring and mitigation of the technical risks.Experience in facing and mitigating risk, anticipating issues and creating opportunities.Nice to have (considered a big plus):Project Management certifications (PMI, PRINCE2 or equivalent).Knowledge of products, security, standards requirements.Human SkillsRequired:Leadership skillsPresentation skillsOptimistic and can-do attitudeValues: Focus, Openness, Respect, Courage, CommitmentFluent in EnglishCollaborative attitudeDesire to grow on project management and personal levelsNice to have:Certifications on different topics (leadership, team operations, lean six sigma, agile etc.)BenefitsTraining opportunities24 paid vacation daysAttractive salaryMedical careRestaurant ticketsInternational environmentAt Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
