Your day to day: Delivery of data centre network configurations and implementations for Global Data Centres in order to support reliable and secure hosted and collaborative services across the whole Vodafone Network in Europe with focus on the services hosted in the managed datacentres.
With these activities you will have a great impact on our business: Manage the network design team, facilitates their development and provides optimal performance; Accountable for the Low Level Design and optimization activities in the Global Data Centres (main managed network elements: routers, switches, load balancers, Cisco ACI , Firewalls, PKI, proxies and services implementation over them); Responsible for IP connectivity implementation based on customer demand; Manage relationships with the stakeholders, in particular operations, design, infrastructure and other customer teams for the implementation of configuration activities, special projects or the handling of emergencies; Create and instill a team culture focused on operational excellence, but be equally agile and adopt an out-of-the box thinking. You will be required to simplify, standardize and challenge the status quo where needed. With these skills you are a great candidate: BS/BT in Engineering or Computer Science with at least 5 years of technical experience; Experience as a People Manager of a technical team will be considered a plus Effective communication with the ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders and with experience presenting the business side of technical topics to non-technical audiences; CCNA, CCNP or CCIE preferred; Excellent knowledge about IT Infrastructure, IP Network and Cloud Technologies; Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux, Virtualization, SDN, CISCO ACI, LAN/WAN, Load balancing, Firewall; Complex problem solving Strong critical thinking skills Proven skills in leadership development and team building Creativity Experienced in making data-driven decisions Cognitive flexibility Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced IT environment and capable of motivating teams Strong dedication to quality customer service Sounds like the perfect job?
