Value Cost Engineer Job Req ID: 125340 Location: Codlea Brasov, RO, 505100 Work Type: Full time Contract Type: unlimited We are looking for a Value Cost Engineer to join the Target Costing Romania department. Take the opportunity to join an energetic and enthusiastic team! Responsabilities: Develop value/cost calculation from acquisition phase to series production. Record and carry out cost evaluations in case of changes. Ensure the evaluation, selection, approval and development of suppliers, in collaboration with specialized departments; Evaluate and calculate the costs of components and complete assemblies, including the resources necessary for production for Make &Buy with good practice approaches; Provides support for Purchasing department in the procurement process (for example: feasibility, technology, etc.) and in cost negotiations with suppliers, for their nomination and renegotiation (for example, 3 months after Start of Production TP verification and investments); Review equipment concepts and prepare their cost details in collaboration with Sales department to negotiate costs with suppliers and customers; Participates in the development and determination of calculation bases for projects in cooperation with specialized departments; Participates in the development of a procurement database; Implements documentation for changes (project and series) in calculation; Support cost calculations and cost assessments in the technical calculation of the acquisition phase to series production; Create cost break downs, cost comparisons, benchmarks and Support technical documentation on quotations; Check BOMs as a qualitative / quantitative cost basis; Create cost evaluations in change management according to concrete specifications; Synchronization of technical customer documents with DRX documents to identify technical changes; Recognizing optimization potentials for products/ processes and developing proposals; Support / act as contact person in the preparation of the calculations. Profile: Academic degree in Engineering or Economics; Experience of at least 2 years in automotive and technical knowledge is an advantage; Good knowledge of PC operation (Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point); Knowledge of the English language at an advanced level; Knowledge of German is an advantage; Very good communication skills, analysis, process orientation, flexibility.
