VMware Cloud Architect in Bucuresti

We are seeking a Senior VMware Cloud Architect to join our dynamic Cloud for VMware Solutions (IC4V) engineering team. IC4V is a prominent, large-scale enterprise platform that delivers standardized and automated VMware virtualization solutions on the cloud, including a growing number of high-value add-on services and solutions (such as HCX, Caveonix, Veeam, and Zerto). IC4V integrates cloud infrastructure and VMware technologies (including vSphere, vCenter, Director, vSAN, NSX, SDDC, and more) to simplify configuration and management, facilitating the seamless migration of VMware workloads from on-premises to the cloud. In our fast-paced and expanding organization, we promote continuous innovation and agile teamwork to deliver the latest technology and provide exceptional support to our clients. In this Software Architect role, you will: Provide daily technical leadership to IC4V development teams, deliver detailed technical designs, and lead the implementation of technical deliverables to ensure customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, and quality deployment. Collaborate with offering managers to understand customer requirements, assess and design software solutions that meet market demands and outpace the competition. Provide technical sizing references to assist release managers and development managers in planning and prioritization. Collaborate across business units, Cloud IaaS teams, and third-party vendors to co-design and co-develop IC4V solutions, enhancing client experiences with value-added services. Utilize deep expertise and strategic technical insight in cloud infrastructure, cloud computing, and automation to build IC4V solutions that expedite clients' migration to the cloud. Stay updated on emerging technology trends and solutions in cloud infrastructure, cloud computing, VMware, and the competitive landscape. Interface with executives to provide technical references and act as a liaison among technical resources, external partners, vendors, and stakeholders. Mentor and develop team members and the technical community. This role demands strong communication skills across the IC4V team and global teams, a deep understanding of cloud technologies and VMware offerings, and exceptional technical leadership to define architecture and drive new releases and solutions on aggressive schedules. The role also involves interaction with internal teams, external partners, and vendor companies to design optimized, integrated solutions for a best-in-class customer experience that meets business and compliance requirements. A strong development background, extensive experience in the IT industry across various business units and roles, and experience working with clients are essential.
